Govt extends PLI Scheme Application Window for White Goods Until Nov 10

The government has reopened the application window for the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for white goods, covering air conditioners and LED lights, until November 10, an official statement said on Friday.

Round four of the scheme, initially open from September 15 to October 14, has been extended due to strong industry response and rising investment interest under the program.

Launched in April 2021 with a total outlay of Rs 6,238 crore, the PLI scheme aims to boost domestic manufacturing, promote component localization, and enhance India’s global competitiveness in the AC and LED lighting sectors.
