Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), has entered the rapidly growing healthy functional beverages market by acquiring a majority stake in a joint venture with Naturedge Beverages Pvt Ltd. With this partnership, RCPL aims to strengthen its position as a "Total Beverage Company" by offering consumers a wide range of herbal and natural drink options.
The functional beverages space is witnessing strong growth, fueled by rising consumer preference for healthier, natural alternatives. Founded in 2018 by Siddhesh Sharma, a third-generation entrepreneur from the Baidyanath Group—one of India’s most trusted Ayurvedic brands—Naturedge Beverages has built its flagship brand Shunya, a herb-infused, zero-sugar, zero-calorie beverage. Shunya combines the benefits of Indian super herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Khus, Kokum, and Green Tea, delivering a refreshing health-focused drink that has already gained traction among consumers.
