Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty edged higher in trade as investors were seen assessing reports that the US and India could soon finalise a trade deal to avoid US President Donald Trump's tariffs, which come into force from July 9.
At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83629.32 up by 219.63 points or by 0.26 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25518.4 up by 65 points or by 0.26 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83836.99 and intraday low of 83348.49 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25576.7 and intraday low of 25429.75
