Sensex down 419 points; NSE Nifty at 25401.4

Domestic bourses continued to hover in red during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including IndusInd Bank Ltd, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd among others.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83277.79 down by -419.5 points or by -0.5 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25401.4 down by -140.4 points or by -0.55 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83935.01 and intraday low of 83150.77 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25608.1 and intraday low of 25383.95



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 165.35,+3.38%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2413.00,+1.86%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12425.00,+1.81%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12607.50,+1.32%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2033.00,+0.68%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 855.05,-2.76%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2004.10,-2.39%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3589.70,-2.10%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 920.00,-1.77%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1980.40,-1.57%), among others.



Metal index was at 32173.32 up by 383.86 points or by 1.21%. Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 165.35,+3.38%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 1060.30,+3.01%), Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd. (Rs. 136.70,+2.55%), Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (Rs. 967.15,+1.97%), National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Rs. 192.15,+1.00%),.



Realty index was at 7510.85 down by -114.22 points or by -1.5%. Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1490.60,-3.66%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 1062.80,-2.95%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 552.85,-2.21%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1605.55,-1.93%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 829.75,-1.51%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4314 , shares advanced were 1770 while 2337 shares declined and 207 were unchanged.
