Mid-Session: Sensex up 100 points; RIL, IndusInd Bank Ltd top gainers

Indian benchmark indices continued to trade in green during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Reliance Industries Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd, UltraTech Cement Ltd.Asian Paints Ltd, State Bank of India among others.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83708.26 up by 101.8 points or by 0.12 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25541.4 up by 24.35 points or by 0.1 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83874.29 and intraday low of 83572.51 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25593.4 and intraday low of 25501.8.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1529.05,+1.89%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 882.45,+1.22%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12195.75,+1.02%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2356.25,+0.64%), State Bank of India (Rs. 824.45,+0.50%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1173.10,-2.16%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2420.00,-1.85%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 260.70,-1.27%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1662.80,-0.83%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1673.25,-0.83%), among others.



CGS index was at 72553.41 up by 220.64 points or by 0.31%. Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Rs. 996.00,+3.03%), Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1994.45,+2.56%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 431.15,+2.24%), Siemens Ltd. (Rs. 3322.50,+2.16%), Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (Rs. 956.20,+1.44%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4181 , shares advanced were 1972 while 2009 shares declined and 200 were unchanged.
