Sensex, Nifty in green mirroring rally in global peers

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading in green on Tuesday after falling in the previous trading session, amid a rally in global markets.



Moreover, buying in blue-chip stocks -- Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank -- also added to the markets optimism.



At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83717.3 up by 110.84 points or by 0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25544.9 up by 27.85 points or by 0.11 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83874.29 and intraday low of 83597.51 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25593.4 and intraday low of 25513.8



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1520.75,+1.34%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2366.10,+1.06%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12180.00,+0.89%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2181.25,+0.81%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3712.70,+0.64%), among others.



The top gainers of the NSE Nifty pack were Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (Rs. 7484.50,+3.35%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 433.20,+2.78%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2369.70,+1.22%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1518.50,+1.19%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2183.00,+0.90%), among others.



CGS index was at 72834 up by 501.23 points or by 0.69%. Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Rs. 1004.65,+3.92%), Siemens Ltd. (Rs. 3368.75,+3.59%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 432.60,+2.58%), Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1983.30,+1.99%), Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (Rs. 954.35,+1.24%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3925 , shares advanced were 1892 while 1780 shares declined and 253 were unchanged.
