Sensex, Nifty in red; PGCIL, Infosys top losers

Domestic bourses continued to hover in red during the noon trading session amid selling in index heavyweights including Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Infosys Ltd. Eternal Ltd. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd among others.



At 14:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was 81272.24 down by -1157.66 points or by -1.4 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24614.85 down by -309.85 points or by -1.24 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82572.81 and intraday low of 81086.62 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24973.8 and intraday low of 24560.7



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1698.20,+0.71%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1372.30,+0.69%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 9067.00,+0.56%), State Bank of India (Rs. 803.00,+0.17%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3565.75,+0.12%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 299.20,-3.19%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1575.00,-3.18%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 232.50,-3.06%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3519.80,-2.78%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1624.50,-2.70%), among others.



CGS index was at 65985.77 up by 711.33 points or by 1.09%. Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1725.00,+9.89%), Schaeffler India Ltd. (Rs. 3947.00,+5.86%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 6248.70,+4.51%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (Rs. 4624.05,+4.15%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 336.05,+4.10%),.



TECk index was at 17796.74 down by -420.92 points or by -2.31%. Bharti Hexacom Ltd. (Rs. 1690.05,-3.59%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1573.20,-3.29%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3516.40,-2.87%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1623.10,-2.79%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1820.45,-2.76%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4276 , shares advanced were 2607 while 1493 shares declined and 176 were unchanged.
