Sensex up 295 points; NSE Nifty at 24316.25

Indian benchmark indices were trading in green during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd, State Bank of India, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. among others.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80537.54 up by 295.3 points or by 0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24316.25 down by -17.95 points or by -0.07 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 81177.93 and intraday low of 80168.59 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24589.15 and intraday low of 24238.5



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1268.70,+4.25%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8881.00,+2.84%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 855.90,+2.08%), State Bank of India (Rs. 800.15,+1.52%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12440.00,+1.46%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2333.40,-2.18%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 349.00,-1.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 303.50,-1.03%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2183.70,-1.00%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2321.00,-0.86%), among others.



Oil&Gas index was at 26693.52 up by 202.32 points or by 0.76%. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 143.40,+3.99%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 384.60,+1.56%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (Rs. 194.60,+1.01%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1421.80,+0.96%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 311.95,+0.58%),.



CDS index was at 56714.84 down by -739.79 points or by -1.29%. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 323.95,-3.83%), Supreme Industries Ltd. (Rs. 3449.90,-2.49%), Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (Rs. 256.90,-2.41%), Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 1206.15,-2.30%), Havells India Ltd. (Rs. 1568.35,-2.11%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4251 , shares advanced were 1844 while 2221 shares declined and 186 were unchanged.
