Tata Steel Q1 net profit up 5.83% at Rs 3523.25 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 3,523.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 as compared to Rs 3329.03 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 5.83 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 7.16 per cent at Rs 30,599.10 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 32,959.66 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses dropped by 8.75 per cent to Rs 23,894.92 crore from Rs 26,186.32 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 49.06 per cent at Rs 555.07 crore versus (Jun'24 Rs 372.38 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 5.11 per cent to Rs 7,119.44 crore as against Rs 6,773.34 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 13.24 per cent in June quarter.

Interest grew by 37.45 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1,271.09 crore, while Taxation decreased by 8.76 per cent at Rs 1,034.51 crore (Jun'24 Rs 1,133.78 crore).
