Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a leading provider of wind energy solutions in India, has announced that it has secured a 51 MW order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a Thermax Group company and a prominent player in the renewable energy space catering to the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector.
This marks the first order from FEPL to Inox Wind and involves the supply of IWL’s advanced 3 MW class wind turbines, featuring a 140-meter hub height and a 145-meter rotor diameter. The turbines will be installed at FEPL’s project site in Tamil Nadu, which is being developed through its special purpose vehicle (SPV), First Energy 10 Private Limited.
In addition to turbine supply, the order includes limited-scope EPC services such as supervision, along with multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services post-commissioning, to be carried out by Inox Wind’s subsidiaries.
Expressing his views on the development, Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind Ltd., said, “We are delighted to begin our partnership with First Energy through this 51 MW project, which we expect to be the first of many. As a rapidly growing player in India’s C&I renewable energy market, First Energy is well-positioned for expansion, and we are confident our collaboration will support their growth journey. Inox Wind remains a preferred partner for major renewable energy developers, delivering comprehensive wind energy solutions and playing a vital role in advancing India’s clean energy transition.”
