Govt extends minimum import price of Rs 20,108/tonne on soda ash imports till Dec 31

The government on Monday extended the minimum import price (MIP) of Rs 20,108 per tonne on soda ash imports until December 31, 2025.

Soda ash, or disodium carbonate, is a key raw material used in industries such as glass manufacturing, detergents, and chemicals.

In a notification, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) stated, "Minimum import price (MIP) of Rs 20,108 per tonne on import of disodium carbonate (soda ash) has been extended up to December 31, 2025."
