India's foreign exchange reserves fell by USD 1.01 billion to USD 697.93 billion for the week ended June 20, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday.
This comes after a rise of USD 2.29 billion in the previous week, which had taken the reserves to USD 698.95 billion. The reserves had reached an all-time high of USD 704.885 billion in September 2024.
During the reporting week, foreign currency assets—the largest component of the reserves—declined by USD 357 million to USD 589.06 billion.
