Shipping Corpn. Q4 net profit down 41.04% at Rs 172.17 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 172.17 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 291.99 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 41.04 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 6.21 per cent at Rs 1,324.66 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,412.34 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 4.52 per cent to Rs 959.55 crore from Rs 1,004.98 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 23.29 per cent at Rs 74.82 crore versus (Mar'24 Rs 97.53 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 10.37 per cent to Rs 365.11 crore as against Rs 407.36 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 4.44 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 4.10 per cent y-o-y to Rs 38.79 crore, while Taxation decreased by 79.98 per cent at Rs -13.66 crore (Mar'24 Rs -68.23 crore).
