Coal India signs MoU with AM Green Ammonia for renewable power supply

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AM Green Ammonia (India) Private Limited on May 7, 2025, in Kolkata.

The agreement outlines CIL’s intent to supply renewable power from its upcoming 4.5 GW renewable energy projects to AM Green’s green ammonia facility in Kandla or any other designated location.

The MoU marks a step toward supporting sustainable energy initiatives and promoting green hydrogen and ammonia production in India.
