Gold prices surged by Rs 2,400 to reach Rs 99,750 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday, driven by consistent buying from jewellers and investors, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
This marks the third consecutive session of gains for the precious metal. On Monday, gold of 99.9% purity had settled at ?97,350 per 10 grams. Similarly, gold of 99.5% purity also rose Rs 2,400 to Rs 99,300 per 10 grams, up from Rs 96,900 in the previous session.
