Sensex off lows, down 390 pts; Realty, PSB indices dip over 1%

Domestic bourses continued to trade lower during the morning deals weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Tata Motors, Axis Bank Ltd. Larsen & Toubro Ltd. HCL Technologies Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd. among others.



At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72097.66 down by -391.33 points or by -0.54 % and then NSE Nifty was at 21876.95 down by -118.9 points or by -0.54 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 72216.97 and intraday low of 71816.46 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 21902.8 and intraday low of 21777.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 423.80,+1.16%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2044.20,+0.99%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2225.75,+0.49%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1273.15,+0.47%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1501.15,+0.44%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 946.00,-2.61%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 998.50,-2.50%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3497.65,-1.50%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1446.70,-1.43%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2775.95,-1.38%), among others.



FMCG index was at 19014.84 up by -8.32 points or by -0.04%. Kaveri Seed Company Ltd. (Rs. 736.90,+7.26%), Kokuyo Camlin Ltd. (Rs. 127.75,+2.00%), Avanti Feeds Ltd. (Rs. 507.05,+1.98%), Manorama Industries Ltd. (Rs. 539.60,+1.88%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. (Rs. 1066.05,+1.80%),.



Realty index was at 7207.42 down by -129.16 points or by -1.76%. Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 3030.00,-4.03%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1577.30,-2.16%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 838.75,-2.02%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2488.35,-1.96%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1379.10,-1.56%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3699 , shares advanced were 1115 while 2413 shares declined and 171 were unchanged.
