The benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices are likely to open on a negative note on April 15 as trends in the GIFT Nifty indicate a weak start for the broader index with a gain of 134.50 points.
Escalation in the Iran-Israel war over the weekend is expected to cloud the sentiment on Monday, and may drive investors towards safe haven like Gold.
Further, focus would also be on March quarter (Q4FY24) results of GTPL Hathway, Hathway Bhawani Cabletel & Datacom, Metalyst Forgings, Ontic Finserve, Rajoo Engineers, Hit Kit Global Solutions, Shekhawati Poly-Yarn, Atam Valves, and Sybly Industries.
Market participants will also react to the Q4 numbers of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) which came after market hours last Friday.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 74244.9 down by -793.25 points or by -1.06 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22519.4 down by -234.4 points or by -1.03 %.
On the global front, On Friday, the S&P 500 fell 75.65 points to 5,123.41. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 475.84 to 37,983.24, and the Nasdaq composite sank 267.10 to 16,175.09.
Elsewhere in Asia, Nikkei, and Kospi declined 1.3 per cent each, while ASX200 fell 0.7 per cent.
