Sensex gains 782 pts, Nifty above 22,350; Bajaj twins top gainers

Domestic bourses continued to trade higher during the late morning deals supported by buying in IT and financial shares.



At 11:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73778.97 up by 782.66 points or by 1.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22356.55 up by 232.9 points or by 1.05 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 73826.8 and intraday low of 73120.33 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22370.85 and intraday low of 22163.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1651.25,+4.43%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 7251.15,+3.25%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 834.50,+2.04%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1916.35,+1.99%), State Bank of India (Rs. 747.45,+1.83%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1541.00,-0.40%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1053.50,-0.01%), among others.



PSU index was at 18236.6 up by 238.64 points or by 1.33%. Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 401.10,+7.61%), NBCC (India) Ltd. (Rs. 118.60,+4.49%), Bank of Maharashtra (Rs. 61.82,+4.44%), KIOCL Ltd. (Rs. 400.60,+3.85%), Central Bank of India (Rs. 59.48,+3.82%),.



Realty index was at 7084.24 down by 12.82 points or by 0.18%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1170.35,-1.64%), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1139.45,-1.08%), Swan Energy Ltd. (Rs. 657.10,-1.06%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1499.25,-0.98%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 915.90,-0.80%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3870 , shares advanced were 2335 while 1368 shares declined and 167 were unchanged.
