Essar Shipping posts Q3 net profit of Rs 58.32 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 58.32 crore compared to net loss of Rs 9.06 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 11.57 per cent at Rs 5.11 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4.58 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 23.68 per cent to Rs 5.22 crore from Rs 6.84 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 66527.27 per cent at Rs 73.29 crore versus (Dec'23 Rs 0.11 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 95.13 per cent to Rs -0.11 crore as against Rs -2.26 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 95.64 per cent in December quarter.

Interest grew by 138.50 per cent y-o-y to Rs 14.93 crore
