Tata Power Co. Q4 net profit zooms 496.31% at Rs 846.11 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 846.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 141.89 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 496.31 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 62.61 per cent at Rs 4,960.57 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,050.54 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 58.49 per cent to Rs 4,206.40 crore from Rs 2,654.09 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 46.17 per cent at Rs 705.28 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 482.51 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 90.23 per cent to Rs 754.17 crore as against Rs 396.45 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 16.92 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 5.34 per cent y-o-y to Rs 538.77 crore, while Taxation decreased by 945.07 per cent at Rs -80.62 crore (Mar'23 Rs 9.54 crore).
