Tata Consumer Produc Q4 net profit down 42.18% at Rs 144.81 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 144.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 250.46 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 42.18 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 19.84 per cent at Rs 2,610.03 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,177.85 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 21.20 per cent to Rs 2,213.05 crore from Rs 1,825.90 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 138.54 per cent at Rs 89.19 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 37.39 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 12.79 per cent to Rs 396.98 crore as against Rs 351.95 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 5.88 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 305.27 per cent y-o-y to Rs 30.76 crore, while Taxation increased by 5.81 per cent at Rs 84.85 crore (Mar'23 Rs 80.19 crore).
