Mid-Session: Sensex up 347 points; NSE Nifty at 25326.35

Indian benchmark indices continued to trade higher during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.State Bank of India Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Tata Motors Ltd.UltraTech Cement Ltd.among others.



At 12:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82728.33 up by 347.64 points or by 0.42 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25326.35 up by 87.25 points or by 0.35 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82741.93 and intraday low of 82490.47 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25342.15 and intraday low of 25275.35



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2049.70,+1.40%), State Bank of India (Rs. 842.15,+1.24%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15745.00,+1.12%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 719.20,+0.78%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12675.90,+0.77%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3529.90,-0.78%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 171.00,-0.58%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1197.80,-0.55%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 411.05,-0.51%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2069.40,-0.50%), among others.



CGS index was at 71485.21 up by 747.02 points or by 1.06%. Elgi Equipments Ltd. (Rs. 485.00,+3.82%), LMW Ltd. (Rs. 15300.95,+2.29%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 411.70,+2.21%), Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 362.30,+2.11%), Grindwell Norton Ltd. (Rs. 1687.00,+1.83%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4340 , shares advanced were 2523 while 1639 shares declined and 178 were unchanged.
